Press Release: Chris Cocker joins Sigma Private Office as Chief Investment Officer

Sigma Private Office is delighted to welcome Chris Cocker as Chief Investment Officer. Chris brings a wealth of private client experience from his previous roles as an Investment Advisor and Executive Director at UBS and Barclays Private Bank. Prior to joining the Wealth Management industry, Chris started his career as a bond arbitrage trader at UBS Warburg.

Chris is a CFA Charter holder and Certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA), which enables him to construct multi-asset class long-term portfolios, shorter-term tactical trading strategies, and opportunistic financial structures. This, coupled with his extensive experience in global capital markets since 1992, allows him to focus on safeguarding and growing real wealth for high-net-worth investors, especially during periods of significant market volatility.

Previously located in Switzerland, Chris has been based in Dubai for over 12 years, advising private and institutional clients and serving on various internal and external investment committees.

Paul Donovan, Managing Partner at Sigma Private Office, said: “Chris’ calibre and experience will be instrumental in helping us deliver on our mission to provide superior investment solutions for our clients. In addition, having another dedicated full-time investment specialist offers our clients something different to other family office type services. We look forward to working with Chris and having him as part of the team and are confident that Chris can offer our clients an even greater level of service and value.”

Daniel Williams, Managing Partner at Sigma Private Office, said: “We are delighted to have Chris join us in this capacity; his extensive investment knowledge will be invaluable for our clients and sets us apart from our competitors. With his wealth of experience, we look forward to him becoming an integral part of the Sigma Private Office team and client offering.

This announcement follows the recent appointment of Chris Anderson as Managing Partner. Both new senior hires are part of Sigma Private Office’s plans to strengthen its team and offering for clients, as well as continue to set itself apart in a competitive market.
